Dr. Joanna Jiang is a senior research scientist at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, working with the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project to develop data, particularly with AHRQ Quality Indicators. Before joining AHRQ, Dr. Jiang was senior researcher at the Healthcare Association of New York State. Her work has been published in many national medical journals and publications such as American Journal of Public Health, Critical Care Medicine, Diabetes Care, Health Care Management Review, the Joint Commission Journal on Quality Improvement, Journal of Nursing Scholarship, Medical Care Research and Review, and Social Science and Medicine. Dr. Jiang received her doctorate in health services organization and research from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and she obtained dual masters degrees in Hospital and Health Administration as well as Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa.
