Jill Jones completed her nursing education in 1986 from DeKalb School of Nursing in Clarkston, Georgia. The initial 13 years of her nursing career were focused on plastic surgical nursing as she worked alongside a plastic surgeon providing every aspect of peri-operative patient care and practice management as well as providing non surgical aesthetic services to the practice's patient base.

In 1993, Ms. Jones earned her certification as a Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse (CPSN) through the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, Inc. (ASPSN) and has maintained her CPSN status since. She has served on the National Board of Directors for the ASPSN and continues to be an active member of the society as well as serving in a leadership role.

In 2001 Ms. Jones re-focused her education and experience to develop her practice as an aesthetic nurse specialist. She worked within plastic surgeons', dermatologists' and occuloplastic surgeons' offices to provide a wide array of non-surgical aesthetic services such as facial injectables, laser and light therapy, sclerotherapy and skin care.

In 2002, Ms. Jones began providing non-surgical aesthetic instruction to physicians and physician extenders across the country. As the demand for her courses increased, she established Aesthetic Advancements, Incorporated (AAI). Ms. Jones has  instructed hundreds of physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses across the country in successful principlesand practices of non-surgical aesthetic services, and developed manuals and instructional videos on these procedures. The AAI team consists of nearly 30 medical professionals and corporate staff. AAI's instructional courses provide Category I CME and CE credit to the practitioner completing them.

In addition to providing non-surgical aesthetic services within a busy plastic surgical practice, Ms. Jones also provides aesthetic instruction for her company, serves as a consultant to those in the medical aesthetics industry, is a published author, and lectures extensively on non-surgical aesthetic procedures.
