Dr. Jian Han is the director of Diatherix Laboratories, located at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Han is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics as a clinical molecular geneticist and the inventor of Tem-PCR technology, a diagnostic test for multiple pathogens, both viral and bacterial in a single test. Before Diatherix, Dr. Han founded Genaco, the first company to introduce Down syndrome prenatal screening and diagnostic service to China. It was during the SARS outbreak of 2003 that Dr. Han and his team at Genaco developed the Tem-PCR technology, which at the time was only used for advanced research.

Dr. Han's studies have been published in numerous publications, including the Journal of Clinical Microbiology and the American Journal of Clinical Pathology, as well as Frontiers of Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals. He received his medical degree from Suzhou Medical College in JiangSu Province, China, and his PhD in clinical molecular genetics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
