Dr. Jeff Belkora is director of Decision Services at the University of California, San Francisco Breast Care Center and assistant professor of surgery in the Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Belkora, who is a systems engineer, has gained national attention in developing, implementing and evaluating patient education and decision support programs. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and case studies on decision making. He earned a bachelor of science in applied mathematics from Brown University, and his graduate training at Stanford University included a master's degree in science in statistics that led to a PhD in engineering.
