James M Nicholson, MD,MSCE

    Dr. James M. Nicholson is an assistant professor of family medicine and community medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia.  He is also the obstetric coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

    Dr. Nicholson attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and his fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

    Over the past five years, Dr. Nicholson has lectured and written extensively about the AMOR-IPAT system, a technique for active management of risk in pregnancy at term that may reduce the rate of cesarean sections.
