Jack Franaszek, MD

    Dr. Jack Franaszek is a clinical associate professor at the University of Chicago School and the medical director of the emergency department at Lake Forest Hospital in Illinois. Previously Dr. Franaszek served as chairman and medical director of the department of emergency medicine at Hinsdale Hospital, director of emergency department at Brown University Rhode Island Hospital and served on the board of directors and as president of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

    Dr. Franaszek received his undergraduate and medical degrees from McMaster University in Canada and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago. He has received several awards, including the John Wiegenstein Award (1991) from the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Physician of the Year award by the Rhode Island Affiliate of the American Heart Association and the Jacek Franaszek Award for Teaching Excellence from the Rhode Island Hospital.
