Francis Marchlinski, MD, is a professor of medicine and serves as director of the electrophysiology program at Penn Medicine and director of the electrophysiology laboratory at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, substrate mapping and catheter ablation, pacemaker therapy for bradycardias and implantable defibrillator therapy in treating ventricular arrhythmias. His research interests include mechanism and ablation of atrial tachycardia and ventricular arrhythmias, catheter ablative therapy, device therapy and electrophysiology of the human atria and ventricles. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Marchlinski went on to receive his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Marchlinski is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, electrophysiology and internal medicine.
