Everett Winslow Lovrien attended medical school at the University of Minnesota, and completed specialty training in pediatrics and medical genetics. From 1968 to 1996, he was director of the Hemophilia Treatment Center at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He has since retired. His book, Doctor Guilt?, is based on his experiences at the Treatment Center.
