Dr. Douglas B. Berkey is a professor at the University of Colorado Schools of Dental Medicine and Public Health and serves as co-director of the Center on Aging. He is also dental director for Total Longterm Care of Colorado.

Dr. Bekey serves on the Delta Dental of Colorado Board of Trustees and also as editor-in-chief of Dental Abstracts. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) National Elder Care Advisory Committee and also a member of the Governor of Colorado's Dental Advisory Committee. He has previously served as an ADA delegate to the Joint Commission and Pew National Dental Leadership Fellow and was the recipient of the ADA Geriatric Oral Health Care Award. Dr. Berkey has also served in various leadership positions with the University of Colorado, American Dental Education Association, International Association for Dental Research, and Fédération Dentaire Internationale.
