David Roth, MD
    Dr. Roth is the William W. Anderson Professor of Nephrology and Clinical Director of the Katz Family Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During his more than 35 years on the faculty, he has served as Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation and Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Training Program. In addition, he has published extensively on many clinical topics in kidney transplantation, with a long-standing interest in the impact of hepatitis C virus infection on the pre and post kidney transplant patient. He is recognized as a leader in this field and in this context he Co-Chaired the KDIGO Work Group on Hepatitis C Virus in Chronic Kidney Disease and he speaks frequently on the subject at national and international scientific meetings. In addition to his clinical, teaching and research work at the Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Roth has also been very involved in the Florida Society of Nephrology, holding multiple leadership roles and is the current President of the organization.
