Dr. Christian D. Stone is associate professor of medicine, and co-director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Stone joined the faculty of the division of gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine in 2001.

Born in Santiago, Chile, Dr. Stone earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, and his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and fellowship training in gastroenterology at Boston University. Dr. Stone acquired additional training in statistics and epidemiology with completion of a master's in public health at Saint Louis University in 2006. He has been director of the inflammatory bowel disease program since 2003.
