Chris Sherin currently serves as an Assistant Director in the Division of Congressional Affairs at the American Medical Association (AMA). In this capacity, Chris primarily handles House Democratic Leadership and Democrat House Ways and Means Committee members. Immediately prior to joining the AMA, Chris worked as a Director of Federal Government Relations for Mylan, N.V., now known as Viatris, an international generic pharmaceutical company. Chris also has extensive experience in the physician community serving as a federal lobbyist for eight years for the American College of Radiology (ACR) and four years for the College of American Pathologists (CAP). A native of Albany, New York, Chris received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York and his master’s degree in public policy from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Chris currently resides in Washington, DC with his wife and two children.
