Carol Wysham, MD, is clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and is Section Head of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Wysham obtained her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Dr. Wysham then returned to the University of Iowa College of Medicine for a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism. She next served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota and as Chief of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Ramsey Clinic in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1992, Dr. Wysham joined the Rockwood Clinic in Spokane. She is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle and a Research Professor ofm Pharmacotherapy at Washington State University in Spokane. Dr. Wysham chaired the Washington State Diabetes Collaborative from 2001 - 2009. She has over 20 years of clinical research experience, and is an investigator on the ACCORD and AIM-High Trials. She is Chair of the American Diabetes Association Professional Practice Committee.
