Bob Graboyes, PhD
Bob Graboyes, PhD

    Dr. Robert F. Graboyes is the senior healthcare advisor at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). He analyzes healthcare and public policy for the organization, including its 50 state affiliates. Dr. Graboyes conducts research, is a frequent public speaker on healthcare, and moderates a series of high-level healthcare forums.

    In addition to his work as an economist at NFIB, Graboyes teaches health economics at three universities: he is an adjunct professor of health administration at George Mason University, a clinical associate professor of nursing at the University of Virginia's School of Nursing, and an adjunct associate professor of health administration for the Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Allied Health Professions.

    Dr. Graboyes has served previous posts as Chase Manhattan Bank's economist for sub-Saharan Africa, and as an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank, where he created, edited and wrote the Equilibria magazine.

    He is a senior fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, a visiting scholar at Kazakhstan School of Public Health and a member of the Global Health Committee at the Global Interdependence Center. Dr. Graboyes earned his doctoral degree in economics from Columbia University, completed master's degrees from the College of William and Mary, Columbia University and Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia, and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
