Andrew Muir, MD
Andrew Muir, MD

    Dr. Andrew Muir is a professor of pediatrics and chief of pediatric endocrinology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the board of governors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and his research interests include autoimmune pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, approaches to obesity in children, and cerebral edema in children with diabetic ketoacidosis. Previously, he served as a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

    Dr. Muir earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto, and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He then completed his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the Children's Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked as a clinical research fellow in the department of pathology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.
